  1. WOW! Keep going No Sediment! What is the alcohol content in this case of Latour 2015 ? Some day I can try it myself Many Thanks

  2. Solid wine Channel. Great passion. I sourced a 1970 while in France recently… likely way past prime (will let you know) but needed this video to understand the story.

  3. I like the “ooooh, wow”, that is the way to describe a wine. Really. I prefer that to a laundry list of berry and other flavors.

  4. I'm glad you got to try this on camera! I have a bottle of Latour in my cellar and this video is making it hard to not open it now!

  5. I kept waiting for your answer to "is it worth the price"…. 😅🤔

I would think that it's not 10-20 times better than nice "more common" wine, but that's also relative to a person's disposable income. Nice video!

  6. Lucky lucky girl , well you never mentioned the cost which I'm sure a lot of people will be curious about , saying that few will ever spend the money & worse it'd be hard to find ! LOLOLOLOLOL

  7. always i am amazed at how much i learn, how much you give.. i think you have the best wine channel

  8. way too young, i think the youngest latour that's drinking now is the 09 les forts de latour, yes it's the second wine but it's on par with most latours in the years before that, agree with you on 2015, 2005 same for me despite both being very highly rated

  9. Absolutely wonderful wine. Thank you. Such a fabulous tasting idea!! And for the next? Either Margaux (2016) or Haut-Brion (2020) since they’re not in Pauillac. 🤩

  10. Château Léoville Barton St.-Julien . Hello it's the big guy from Winnipeg. Agnese please review and taste this one, we have it in Winnipeg! ❤🎉😊

  11. Thanks for sharing your impressions! I think a LOT of people would like to know whether these top wines are legitimately superior compared to other very highly rated high end wines? In other words, can we get just as great a wine with other non-first growths if they are similarly reviewed and applauded?

  12. The algorithm just gave me your review which I’m very happy about. I wonder why you do not decant that wine and let it rest for a while before tasting. It seems most people would do that specially at that price point personally, I prefer the other side of the river as Cabernet is not my favorite grape, but that’s just me sadly

  13. I have had the pleasure and great privilege of tasting all the 5 premier cru’s and this was at the time my favourite of the five 😊

  14. These are around 700 EUR here. This is simplistic and a little dumb obviously, but how much would you say you're paying for the label here? Could you get an equal wine, maybe even one that you wouldn't be able to distinguish from this one for say; 100 EUR?

  15. Beautiful ! Love the video and your Cup selection too , taste Haut Brion ‘16 next !

  16. The first bottle of Latour I ever drank was the 1955 back in the 1980's. It was absolutely beautiful even though 1955 was only considered as a good vintage. It taught me what a great wine like Latour can taste like when aged.

  17. What a treat to try this! Enjoyed the history behind the wine. Looking forward to more great Bordeaux videos!

  18. Very interesting point that you mentioned the title of Grand Vin is awarded to the winemaker, and not the land. Very unusual that terroir is not taken into consideration. It's one serious flaw imho of the Classification system. Because I note that many famously popular growth wine estates have purchased land from their neighboring non-classified estates to expand their yields and increase production. Grand Vin is becoming more of a marketing tool than a true marker of quality. As a purist I would be more compelled to purchase older Grand Vin vintages from pre-expansion era. I have cellared an Haut Brion 1990 and two bottles of d'Yquem. 88 and 89 respectively. The Haut Brion appears to do better than Latour in blinds. Love your channel.❤

  19. I’ve only had two first growths. I had a 1967 Chateau Lafite Rothschild in 1987, and a 1978 in 1990, so both long ago. I thought both were great. In the past few years I’ve bought a 2006 Chateau Haut Brion, and a 2017 and 2019 Chateau Mouton Rothschild. I’d like to buy the one that you tasted here and a Chateau Margaux so I’ll be able to have had all five. Just for a small collection.
Which of the five first growths is your favorite?

  20. For a next video, I suggest Château Batailley. It is an excellent red wine Grand Cru Classé en 1855 from Pauillac region too, like Château Latour. I already tasted one bottle of Château Batailley, vintage 2018. The wine was fantastic!

  21. Talking about Château Latour, I really appreciate their third wine: Pauillac du Château Latour. It’s an amazing, delicious, elegant “fruity” wine. I already tasted six different vintages of this wine.

  22. Really enjoyed this one esp the part when we got the advice. Do not open this one unless You have loads of time to spend with it.

  23. 20 years of ageing is probably the minimum for a Latour.
I've just drunk a 2005 Pichon-Longueville which was divine, the comparison would be interesting. Cheers.

  24. wow! and 2015! =)
you are right, 2015 is way way too young to be opened now!
will keep mine deep deep in the cellar!
    cheers!

  25. What a big project! Good luck! I'd like to see one of the Super Seconds- especially following Latour. Will it live up?!

  26. Ooh Lordie! Yes the development is the most amazing thing about Latour, 1 hour or 70 years!! 1 more OOOH!! Thank you so much!

  27. Could you do the second class estate Chateau Lascomb, it always seems to be a bargain compared to the others, it would be great to have an expert opinion as to if this is justified.
