Lady Gaga is lighting up the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony! The global superstar performed along the Seine River in the French capital on July 26 ahead of the highly anticipated Games! The Grammy winner brought classic glam to the iconic Paris landmark, kicking off her appearance with a performance of the French song “Mon Truc En Plumes” by Zizi Jeanmaire. Following her electric performance, the singer took to Instagram to share her gratitude writing, “I feel so completely grateful to have been asked to open the Paris @Olympics 2024 this year. I am also humbled to be asked by the Olympics organizing committee to sing such a special French song—a song to honor the French people and their tremendous history of art, music, and theatre.” Lady Gaga’s performance puts to rest rumors that she would be performing at the Opening Ceremony after she was spotted waving to fans in the streets of Paris days earlier. The Olympic games kick off with the opening ceremony on July 26 and will wrap up on Aug. 11. They will be followed by the Paralympic Games from Aug. 28 to Sept. 8.
