I also don’t think I would want the A/C above my head! My sinuses would NOT be happy. Louis is so right on the bed positions. Think about it.

I would add OSB först, befors the plasterboard towards the staircase shaft. That makes it hard to brake!

The bed should be placed opposite the door if possible. You sleep better if you can see if someone comes in.
The feet should be facing the door not the head Luis is definitely right. My sleeping quarters have the same issue I refuse to put my head next to a door. Draught and noise from the door way as well and access to the ensuite as well he's not wrong. In the same rules a WC shouldn't be the first thing you see in the front entrance of a home. Balance is key where is Cyrille today? I hope he is coming in again soon 🙂 Feel better soon Anna maybe invest in some oregano oil might help with the cold and helps allergies as well.

I like when you visit place with exposed brick work, when the electrical is in the metal pipes with the sockets at the end, bit like when they convert old mills

Have you considered installing the green board horizontally? In the event of flooding downstairs, it may make doing repairs easier at a later date.
