And like how our morning goes but I’m in there brushing Trey’s teeth getting him dress stuff like that because he’s not at that stage where he can do that for himself yet for all my parents out there that ask questions all the time about Trey because you have kiddos of your own
Just wanted to show you what a typical morning for us looks like scrambling to get them on the bus because the buses have been coming way early so both of them were picked up by 712 which that usually does not happen we have all kinds of construction our road is like a
A cut through to two main highways so both main highways have major construction on them so everybody is detoured to our road to cut through and it’s just a hot mess Express and you never know which road is being worked on so the drivers just come extra early in
Preparation for it being chaotic which means I have to get the boys dressed and ready uh about 20 30 minutes earlier than a normal so that’s fun times first W problems I know I wanted to take you guys on a rest day because I haven’t
Done that in a while and I got a lot of questions about rest days I want to talk about them the importance about them why you should be taking rest days I had a lot of people have been asking me how many rest days you should take per week
So me personally I train 4 days a week and then I rest 3 days I do that intentionally because I like to have the weekends free I want to be able to first off I’m never free on the weekends I’m still constantly doing work things for
The programs or for YouTube but as far as the boys have more flexibility with them and not you know be at a gym for 2 hours so I definitely like to free up the weekends from training and then I like to throw in a rest day in between
Because I have been training really hard I’m always intentionally training hard but right now since my calories are up and the Shred the next level shred April 15th I want to make sure I am like going as hard as possible so I am really been feeling it here lately versus normal so
Regardless I like to take a rest day in between to give my muscles sometime to recover and that is today today is Wednesday so it’s important to take a rest day because if you’re not resting guys you’re never giving your muscles any time to recover therefore build
Muscle when you’re in the gy gym you are tearing all your mus muscle fibers down if you’re training hard you are tearing everything down that’s why you’re feeling sore after you’re training and if you just constantly keep tearing tearing tearing tearing it apart and you never give it any sleep never give it
Any rest nutrition it’s never going to build that muscle you’re just going to constantly be tearing away at it so you want to make sure that you prioritize your rest days and on your rest days make sure that you eat and what I mean by that is fuel the tank those muscles
Need some something to be able to grow right they need the rest and they need the fuel to be able to repair themselves and grow so if you’re depriving yourself on rest AIDS cuz you’re not training and you think you don’t need any food so we’re going to starve ourself you’re
Just doing your body and your muscles a disservice and you’re never going to get that shape and the different tone I hear L say all the time that you want because you’re depriving yourself of the actual nutrition and food however me personally today I am not going to eat my full 2700
Calories that I eat on my training days two out of the three rest days I’m eating 2500 calories I’m doing that intentionally guys because 2700 calories if I were training every day would probably still be a deficit for me I’m still seeing the scale go down as I am
Eating these higher calories on training days but on rest days I’m finding that it will you know spike a little bit and that just means that I’m eating over maintenance on my rest days so I’m cutting them back a little bit on Wednesdays and Sundays 2500 calories is
Still sufficient and enough for me personally right now where I am to be able to recover properly I’m still feeling long breast day sometimes that I’m like trying to cram that food in with 2500 calories so we’re totally good there and some days I feel ravenous so
It’s just crazy how our body changes and works too 2500 is what I’ll be showing you today 165 g of protein is the goal every single day even on rest days whether we’re doing our full calories or not protein is important guys it’s got to keep you satiated build that muscle
So make make sure you’re prioritizing that as well I’ve got a lot of things that I want to do today I want to First go eat my breakfast and it’s easy and breakfast for me y’all let me know in the comments down below it used to be if

So I just started a new unilateral workout I plan to do for at least 6 weeks/3 days per week. I have a definite imbalance, especially in glute and bicep and AB’s. I’m right handed but my left side is stronger and more defined. I have been either doing more reps or lifting a heavier weight on the right side. Just curious if anyone out there smarter than me thinks this a good plan to help the imbalance…..
