𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙛𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙨 𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙚, 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩? 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙞𝙥 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙙 🍽️
We love treating ourselves to a nice breakfast on weekends. The classic eggs are, of course, top of our list. Pancakes are also amazing! But the best breakfasts, the ones that go straight to your heart, are ones that have french toast 🥞 yumm!!
In our search for the best restaurant to have french toast, we landed on the famous local spot Cocoa Cha Chi. For those of you who have lived in Rondebosch, you would remember their sister version Cocoa Wah Wah, which closed shop during the pandemic, unfortunately 😔
Cocoa Cha Chi, however, has an amazing menu with lekker french toast options. They offer various versions from the classic toast with maple syrup to gourmet versions with strawberries, cream and jams. There is one with almonds and chocolate as well.
We have found that you really can’t go wrong with any of them! They are all delicious, and you can pick depending on whether you want to go with a more savoury option or just a traditional breakfast to gobble up.
𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗽: Do remember to ask the waiter for a double portion, which is two breads and in our experience, more sufficient for a filling meal.
Honestly, we keep ordering the french toast every time we visit 😂 But it’s on the plan to try other items on their menu.
