STAGE 1 Preview: The first stage of the 2023 Tour de France will take the riders around the Basque Country with a 182km long loop to and from Bilbao. The stage offers a 5% kicker in the final kilometre which could offer itself up to a battle between the heavyweights of Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert and the Tour de France debutant Biniam Girmay. It is set to be a fierce battle for the first yellow jersey of the 2023 Tour de France.
