Today I join Scott and his crew Billy and Kier on the Commercial Fishing Vessel St George out of Eastbourne. I am spending a day in the life of a Whelk fisherman. We work their commercial whelk pots and land their catch to the local seafood merchant – We discuss the methods, biology and life cycles of whelks and also the seasons and importance for the local community.
