It’s called “Girl After Emptying a Tank at the End of the Fermentation” and it was taken by Thierry Gaudillère, a French journalist and photographer. The photograph shows a young woman resting against the side of a large vat in a vineyard in Burgundy, France. She has just finished emptying the tank after the fermentation process, which is one of the most important and laborious steps in making wine. You can see the exhaustion and satisfaction on her face, as well as the stains and splashes of wine on her clothes and skin. The image captures the dedication, the hard work and the passion that goes into making wine, as well as the beauty and simplicity of life in the countryside.
