Peel chestnuts quickly & easily in 3 simple steps:
1. Score & soak to soften the shell
2. Parboil until shells open up
3. Drain & peel while warm (but not too hot to touch)
Note: shells will harden and membrane will cling to the chestnuts as they cool, just warm them up for 30 seconds and they’ll be soft and easy to peel again. Try parboil in small batches and peel the warm softened chestnuts while the next batch is boiled.
