McDonald’s is continue working in Russia. Now under the new brand name “Vkusno i Tochka” (literally “Tasty and Period” and means “Tasty and That’s It).
Officially, in June, 2022, McDonald’s Corporation sold all their 850 restaurants in Russia to the biggest franchiser in Russia, Alexander Govor.
They sold all their restaurants, kitchen equipment, employees, top management and menu. Back then in June, the menu was sold without Big Mac, Big Tasty and McFlurry which are highly associated with the McDonald’s brand.
But now, when the McDonald’s hits are getting back. Big Tasty is already in the menu under the new name – Big Special.
According to Oleg Paroev, the General Manager of Vkusno i Tochka, who was General Manager of McDonald’s in Russia, Big Mac and McFlurry is about to return too under the names “Big Hit” or “Beef Hit” for Big Mac, and “Ice de Luxe” for McFlurry.
