We had the perfect opportunity to get into France right in the middle of the 2020 pandemic, so what did we do… we went for it!
Obviously there was rules in place, both for the UK and France but when the stars aligned we jumped at the change to go to France. While this was still a hot topic, we followed all rules and figured going to a mountain range which had very little cases we would be safe and would pose a low risk to others.
After leaving the UK the rules were still very unclear for travel, we knew we could be we just didn’t know what we needed to do, we we just went for it! Actually it was quite straight forward, realising most of the problems was exacerbated by the media. All we needed was a simple form saying we had no symptoms and we were good to go!
After a mammoth journey, which would be impossible to do in a van in one go, we arrived in the south of France, Font Romeu in the Pyrenees to be exact, ready for a few weeks training, but also and more importantly, exploring and bonding with my little girl. This is the start of a wonderful vacation with the ultimate experience… but that we will keep a secret for another video!
