Food Foresting can seem like a complex and tricky undertaking. How do we know what plants to situate around our anchor tree? What if we don’t have a main tree around which to anchor companion plants at all? Let’s look at a mature goumi berry guild on the edge of my food forest as an example of guild design.
Plants in this video include Goumi (Eleagnus multiflora)
Clematis montana
Jude the Obscure climbing rose
Columbine
violets
Cleavers (Gallium aparine)
Black European currant
Blackcap raspberry
Frech sorrel
Nigella (love in a mist)
