Our Tasting Room accommodates 18 people in a bright, modern setting that is designed to learn in a fun and interactive way. The rooms structure dates back to the 17th century and many of the beams are still visible in the tasting room.
For an extra special touch for your family, friends or colleagues we can organise a tasting in your home or business. Let us know your theme or let us plan the tasting, either way we will work with you to make the evening very special; a night of Blues, a slice of the French Alps, a walk through the Spanish Pyrenees or the very best of British Artisan cheeses.
We can organise the wines, cheese, biscuits, chutneys, plates and glasses. The event will last about 90 minutes, following which we will quietly pack up and take all the dirty glasses with us and leave you with any remaining cheese and wine to enjoy yourselves.
You’ll have to decide what number of guests works best for you, but think about your seating and what you can provide. Six to twelve is said to be a good number of guests for a tasting party.

The History of Cheese and Nantwich
Cheshire Cheese is the oldest recorded English cheese, supposedly mentioned in the Doomsday book. Why is Nantwich so closely linked to the history of cheese production. Why was Cheshire Cheese production the mainstay of the Royal Navy in the 17th Century.
Want to learn how Nantwich and salt are integral to cheese, then join Nick and his guest as we take you through the history of cheshire cheese. With lots of time for questions, tastings and even a glass of mead or two.
Champagne and Artisan French Cheese Experience
Oooh La La! Champagne and Artisan French Cheese.
Our Vintners will take you through the A to Z of Champagne; from production to storage. The Sommelier will explain the subtle differences of terroir and sunshine.
Our Artisan French cheeses are begging to be paired with Champagne. Champagne goes beautifully with buttery cheese, a number of which form part of the tasting. They are delightful and decadent. The buttery cheese lingers on your palate and the effervescence of the Champagne cuts through the creaminess, leaving you with a delicious, well-balanced taste.
This Years Christmas Cheese & Wine Choice
Learn from our guest Sommelier, who takes us through the minefield of wine selection for Christmas.
For instance, whilst it is customary to continue with the red wine for the cheese course, why is that the custom?
To follow your celebration feast, Nick, our Affineur, will take you through the process of preparing the perfect cheeseboard and selecting the very best accompaniments.
At the end of the evening you will be able to take 10% of any purchases made.
It’s a night designed to put the fun into Christmas wine and cheese selection by tasting before you buy.
