Come cook with me! This week I am making classic French Toast. Everyone loves making classic breakfast recipes at home and I thought this recipe was so simple and delicious that I needed to add it to my video collection! I took this recipe up a notch by making homemade croissant bread from scratch! It turned out to be such a good choice. You can also use brioche, Challah or Texas toast. Also feel free to buy your bread from the store if you want a super quick and easy version of this recipe. Next week I will show you how I made the bread!

Ingredients
2 large eggs
1 cup milk, half and half or any alternative milk ie almond, coconut
pinch of salt
1 tablespoon granulated sugar, honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
8 slices bread (either homemade or store-bought)
butter, for pan
Instructions
Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla in a flat-bottomed pie plate or baking dish. Place bread slices, one or two at a time, into the egg mixture and flip to make sure both sides of bread are well-coated.
Melt butter in a large skillet. Place bread slices in skillet and cook on medium heat until golden brown on each side, about 2-3 minutes.
Enjoy with pure maple syrup or fresh fruit or both on top!
