RECIPE — French Onion Chicken and Stick of Butter Rice Mashup
Ingredients:
• 1 cup long grain white rice, dry and uncooked
• 1 can French onion soup
• 1 can beef consommé
• 1 stick butter, sliced
• 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 cup store bought French onion dip
• 1 cup store bought seasoned croutons
• 4 slices provolone cheese
• 3 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Pour dry rice into a 9×13 baking dish. Pour French onion soup and beef consommé over the
rice. Lay butter slices evenly across the top. Do not stir.
2. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Lay directly on top of the rice and butter mixture.
3. Spread French onion dip generously over each chicken breast. Scatter croutons over the dip. Drape one slice of
provolone over each chicken breast.
4. Cover tightly with foil. Bake 60 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10-15 minutes until provolone is golden and
chicken reaches 165°F.
5. Scatter parsley over the top and serve straight from the dish.
Tips:
★ Do not stir the rice mixture — just dump and layer.
★ Cover tightly with foil — a loose seal lets steam escape and the rice won’t cook properly.
★ The French onion dip melts into an incredible creamy sauce over the chicken as it bakes.
★ Uncover for the last 10-15 minutes so the provolone gets golden and croutons stay slightly crispy.
★ Check chicken reaches 165°F internal temperature before serving.

  1. You WAY overcooked that chicken. It would have cooked in 25 minutes, pull it out, and let it rest. That chicken was leather.
