To identify the wines offering the best value for money, I collected ratings from around 20 wine critics and merchants for approximately 70 estates from the 2025 vintage. I then made several statistical adjustments, including one designed to eliminate the tendency for less expensive wines to receive disproportionately high price-value ratings.
The results are as follows:
Exceptional value: Brane-Cantenac, Beau-Séjour Bécot, Batailley, Canon, Larcis Ducasse, Trotte Vieille, Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Laroque, Jean Faure, Montlandrie, Barde-Haut
Very good value: Haut-Bailly, Rauzan-Ségla, Pontet-Canet, Haut-Bages Libéral, Lassègue, La Gaffelière, Pavie-Macquin, Montrose, Troplong Mondot, Clos Fourtet
