  1. Recipe(dish even has its own Wikipedia page):

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple-cooked_chips

1 kg Maris Piper potatoes, peeled and cut into chips

Put the cut chips into a bowl under running water for 5 minutes to wash the starch off.

Place 2 litres of cold tap water in a large saucepan and add the potatoes. Place the pan over a medium heat and simmer until the chips are almost falling apart (approximately 20–30 minutes, depending on the potato).

Carefully remove the cooked chips and place them on a cooling rack to dry out. Place into a vacuum sealer and seal OR place the rack in the freezer for at least 1 hour to remove more moisture.

Heat a deep-fat fryer or a deep pan no more than half filled with oil (to a depth of around 10 cm) to 130ºC. Fry the chips in small batches until a light crust forms (approximately 5 minutes), remove from the oil and drain on kitchen paper.

Put the potatoes on a cooling rack and place into a vacuum sealer and seal OR place in the freezer for at least 1 hour. (At this stage, if you don’t want to cook and serve immediately, the chips can be kept in the freezer for 3 days.)

Heat the oil in the deep-fat fryer or deep pan to 180ºC and fry the chips until golden (approximately 7 minutes). Drain and sprinkle with salt.

  3. These just look like cassava fries. Like if someone desperately wanted to have cassava fries but had to make do with potatoes

  4. Wow, you even included the vacuum thing! Most usually leave that put when discussing Heston’s chip recipe because like, nobody bar professional chefs have a vacuum chamber. Most just say whack them in the freezer! Does basically the same thing, pulls out moisture, just in a very different way (the vacuum being more effective).

  5. Imagine, the McDonald's menu but it's all replaced with Michelin star chef food. So Michelin burger, fries, soda, chicken nuggets, etc. what would it be like?

  6. Hii, I just wanted to say that Jesus loves everyone so so much that He died for the sins of humanity, so if you follow Him and leave your sinful habits you can be eternally happy in Heaven ❤
And also, the food looks so good! Keep it up! ❤

  7. “Very doable at home” right…coz everyone just has a vacuum chamber sitting in their kitchen?? 💀

  8. 17:39 You didn’t even have to be at the game to hear it 😂 u could hear from the broadcast every match 😭 maybe in America they censored it coz yk…it’s America, but in the UK for every game at every hydration break u could hear everyone boo the moment that whistle blew 😂😭
