Just moved into a new home. How would you style/decorate this room? My thoughts are curtains over the window, tv in the center, and sectional couch but I would love to hear/see any ideas!! TIA!
That stone wall is already doing heavy lifting so i would keep everything else simple, maybe just low console under the tv and no clutter
Rosie-Disposition
I would do the following:
– pick a low TV stand (probably no higher than your knee) and center on the brick wall.
– carefully measure the space between the windows to pick out your tv- there should be breathing room away from the windows, but not comically small either.place the TV on the TV stand- don’t drill into the brick to mount.
– I like the clean look of the blinds and would not do curtains
– your rug is pushed a bit close to the wall now but I assume this is only temporary
– I can’t see the whole space, but I am not convinced you have room for a sectional. It is always better to have more than one item to sit on in a living room (like a couch and 2 chairs), rather than just one giant sectional. Plan accordingly.
Personally for colors if I had to buy everything news, I’d do a lighter rug and a dark couch maybe a jewel tone to lean into warmth of the room (no greys). There are no measurements listed, no floor plan, and only one angle, so I feel kinda at a disadvantage to give better advice.
