We're looking to buy a 2014 La Tache from a private collector whom we met through a dear friend. We don't personally don't know the collector but the friend does and has bought some wines through him and thus the introduction.
It's not that we don't trust the seller but it will be our first La Tache and I'm wondering if this community can verify to the best of its ability that this is real. Don't worry, I won't hold any of you to any guarantees.
The bottle number has been hidden for privacy reasons.

That cork push is worrisome.
I’d be more worried about that heat damage showing…cork is very elevated
Heat damage, cork protrusion. Unless you want to part with thousands for a bottle of stewed prunes, I’d look elsewhere.
Did collector win in saq lottery or direct allocation ?
