I painted my tray ceiling black and really like it. It gives the illusion of making the ceiling recede into the night sky. Though I also think a larger light fixture would look better. The current light is dwarfed by the huge room.

Paint the light housings to match, and get nice lights. Dont paint it.
What room is this? We need context on the style and color scheme of the space.

That ceiling is already accented as it is… I like the other guy u/Kinieruu ‘s idea.
Get some cans of mauve spray paint and crank up the fan. ( wear a hat.)
