I’m trying to turn my home office into a room that does a lot without looking like it’s trying to do a lot.

In addition to my desk, here’s what needs to fit:
-a library wall for my books that feels intentional rather than like storage overflow
-sitting chair for reading
-a vanity area for hair and makeup
-and enough closed storage to keep everything hidden and calm

Aesthetic-wise I’m drawn to mid-century modern shapes but I want the room to feel light, airy, and organic rather than heavy or dark. Warm neutrals, natural wood, soft curves, some texture, nothing loud.

My biggest struggle is zoning. I don’t want it to feel like four different rooms crammed into one. Has anyone tackled a multipurpose office like this? Would love layout ideas, furniture recommendations, or examples of rooms that pulled this off well.
