I need advice on what color chairs look better in my dining space. I ordered what I thought would be a light gray/taupe set and upon arrival they are a charcoal color. My husband is a fan of the charcoal but I’m not too sure. I have uploaded a photo of the space now with the charcoal colored chairs vs what I had originally envisioned with the lighter colored chairs. Bonus photo to show the room from a different angle.
Photos are AI generated to include curtains, which we have not put up yet.

I like the second picture, but I have to also say that I’m horrible at decorating. But I like the way the chairs look with the rest of the room in that picture.
I think it should be okay. Darker chair is hard to stain especially if you have kids and you could always brighten up the table with a tablecloths and change the look whenever you want depending on the tablecloth colour.. Curtain would look great with natural linen color or anything that is off white
The darker chairs look much better and will be easier to maintain with time.

I like the dark chairs. They give drama to the room, but the lighter chairs are nice too, they brighten up the room.
