Starting to plan a honeymoon, and have 3 full days allocated to Mendoza and wineries.

1) Stay in Mendoza or down by Tunuyan?
2) how many wineries per day? 2 or 3?
3) explain the bodega idea to me. Is it just a restaurant at the winery?
4) Here is my list of places to go. What’s the must vs what can be left out?
5) must go to restaurants in Mendoza?
6) I assume a private driver is a must, who’s a go-to driver/company? Are they making reservations, or do I?

Catena Zapata and Zuccardi are non-negotiable, 2 wineries a day keeps it enjoyable instead of a blur, and a bodega restaurant is basically a full lunch experience at the winery (not just a tasting bar)

Zapata, Zuccardi, Enemigo are all must-keeps. Alfa Crux doesn’t have the most amazing juice but the architecture and setting is maybe the best of them all. I’d look into swapping in Salentein as well as Michelini I Mufatto, the later being a wonderful, small, family-owned spot.

Lunch at Salentein is really great – beautiful restaurant.

Go with Trout & Wine for a driver, well worth the money. Ivan was one of the best tour guides I’ve had anywhere. They set up everything you ask for
