I want a modern, warm vibe. I am thinking of having an olive green rug and painting the kitchen cabinets the same Brunswick green as the small cabinet next to the TV. I also want wall panelling behind the tv.
I have thought about changing the floor to laminate but I live in a hot country so the tiles help the room stay cool.
I’ve mocked up some AI images but something looks off. Would like some advice please.

I like #1 of the second set of options the best.
The rug ties in the kitchen cabinets, the wooden wall behind the TV creates texture and contrast without overwhelming the space, and the light color of the walls will make the space feel lighter and bigger.
Whatever you do. Change the damn lightbulb in the ceiling fan to a warmer temperature.
This room looks like it’s meant to do dodgy surgery in.
Consider getting lamps. You can’t have a warm cozy vibe just with an overhead light.
