Just got new floors put in, and the existing color too closely matches the floor I think. In person, it leans a little warmer than this picture shows.
We are thinking of going with a (very) subtle southwestern/cowboy/rugged nature kind of theming. We really really love Cavern Clay, but I'm scared it might be TOO bold or make the room feel smaller if it is all over. I don't have a blank wall to use for an accent wall, either. If it's not going on the walls, then I'd like to have that kind of terracotta color in curtains/the rug/etc. Curious if white would look good and, if so, what shade? Or is that too safe? A neutral/cool tan?? The one color I really don't want is sage but I can be convinced.
Blotted out the kitchen and some other stuff that is ugly and in the process of being changed lol.

I would start by picking out the rug you want to use and pull a color from it. It’s much easier to find a paint color to match a rug than finding a rug that matches your paint
What direction is the room facing? It could be that your lighting is cool but the room is reading a cool blue-ish cast so I think knowing that would make a big difference.
