Genuinely, this is the second time I’ve ever even drank wine. I have always been a beer drinker. I purchased this, knowing it was cheap, but after some online digging around, found that it is pretty terrible and hated. it’s pretty gross even though I don’t have anything at all to compare it with. I am creating this post in hopes to receive some recommendations for a better bottle of wine, for a novice drinker of the grapes. Thank you!

Literally anything you get from your local wine store. You should be able to find several bottles <$20 there, at that point it’s down to your palate to determine whether something is “good” or “bad”
for beginner who likes beer, try a malbec from Argentina, it has more of that dark fruity richness that won’t feel so sharp on your palate
Tap water.
Use the remaining for a boeuf bourguignon.
If you live in Australia, the Pirramimma Heritage Limited Edition Shiraz for $15 from Vinomofo is a great value wine.
Otherwise go to your local wineries (if any) and try their wine. Always good to drink local.
Algae water from the Reflecting Pool.
Nothing better, your palate hasn’t matured yet thats all.
You can blindfold yourself and pick out any wine in the red section at any store and do better. Even the alcoholic at the wine bar would rather be sober than touch that lol
If into Craft beer (hoppy) ask for a Spanish Albariño. If into Stouts or other heavier dark beers, try Malbec or red Zinfandel. If you normally drink American big beers, maybe try a Riesling
Go to your local liquor store, find something in the $12-$18 range. Cheap wines are cheap for a reason. Ive never had a $7 wine that tastes like a $20 wine
Campo Viejo Rioja should be about $10. It’s great.
Everclear and Welch’s.
When visiting a retail store, never bend down to choose a wine
Alamos Malbec or Cabernet Sauvignon. Any Chile or Argentina red pretty much!
Anything
Bogle Petite Sirah
Anything is better.
The piss I just took would be better.
Seriously, spend like $30 on a “super Tuscan” style wine. It’s cab sauv based and will be better than a straight cali cab.
What kind of beers do you like and why?
