Hey everyone. we just got this power recliner sofa, but now the room feels kind of flat.i want the space to feel more pulled together and less like a furniture showroom, but i can’t figure out what’s throwing it off. i also know there’s probably too much blue between the walls, sofa, and rug.what would you change first? Paint the walls, switch out the rug or coffee table, add better decor? i’m open to pretty much anything.

take away all the little stuff and get bigger items at home goods

In my opinion its the light blue wall. Different colour maybe, with a console table at the wall with some vases or lamp and a plant.

You have a good start. I think the wall color is the odd man out. You could try to make it look more intentional and buy pale blue (returnable) accessories and spreading them around the room a bit to see if that helps. Sofa pillows, a vase for the table, etc. Also, it looks like your picture is hung too high but that’s a nit pick.

I really like it as is. But I would replace the plant with a large fiddle leaf fig. Add more dark green plants.
