My late father had some wine leftover, and I wonder what bottles here are best for special occasions. Say something fancy like a wedding or whatever.
And also what bottles are a bit "meh" that I can open up on a weekend etc?
I love wine, but I don't know much about it other than the different grapes.

None of these are the show stopping special occasion only style of bottle, but your pops clearly knew how to keep some good solid bang for your buck producers.
Drink what you like, if something screams special to you, then it’s special and you should save it.
Your old man had good taste and knew how to drink wine in a way that an aficionado would.
Enjoying your father’s wine is the special occasion. Wine is central to my life, but I find the pressure of special occasion wines can lead to disappointment when trying to pair it with the right moment.
