Hello! Our basement has always had carpet (as that’s what was there when I bought it.) Our basement flooded the first time because the downspout became disconnected & water was flowing right down into our foundation. Obviously we had to rip up the carpet.
My husband decided to get the basement carpeted again. I had been in a deep depression so I don’t remember if my husband asked my opinion or just made the choice himself. In normal circumstances I would have said hell no to carpet.
A few months ago our basement flooded (again) due to sump pump failure. Thankfully that is covered under our homeowner’s policy (I’m trying not to think about how much my annual premium is going to increase.) Insurance would only replace what was already there of course (more carpet…) I decided to buy some Lifeproof flooring with my own funds.
Anyway, the contractors just finished installing the flooring & the new vanity in the bathroom. I figured this would be the best time to paint, but I have zero idea about color theory or anything.
Any color suggestions for the laundry room and the bathroom? I’d like to do 2 different colors. Thanks so much!
