A close relative is getting married soon, and he and his fiance are filling out their wedding registry. Because I'm my family's resident "wine person," he asked my thoughts on these glasses from Crate & Barrel. Zweisel generally tends to be good quality, but I'm concerned about the size of these and the somewhat generic design. Is the lower part of the bowl too wide, and would that potentially cause the aromas to become muddled? Those are my initial thoughts without seeing them in person. Would greatly appreciate feedback from anyone who may have used these!

We’ve had several dozen of these over the years in variously shaped and they’ve done great. Held up in the dishwasher well – we’ve broken a few but they get used often. For the price I’m pleased with them

I have this line of glassware and really like it. I probably used these glasses almost daily for 3+ years. They’re sturdy and can handle daily use. Now my wife and I tend to drink out of Zalto glasses or Gabriel Glas, but these are nice for a registry to get a matching set.

I’ve never had an issue with the wine experience with these. I would suggest having a red/white/champagne set of 4-6 glasses and then maybe supplement with a nicer universal glass for them to use when it is just them drinking.

Another perk is that they are relatively cheap for the quality so if a guest breaks one they’re easy to track down and replace (happened many times to us). Also the “Tour” line spans all sorts of glassware, so if they want to expand their collection it is easy to do.
