I just rented my first apartment ever, and I'm incredibly excited to finally have a place that's mine and start making it feel like home.
The first thing I want to buy is a couch since it'll be the main piece around which I build the living room. My style leans cozy and comfortable, but I don't want the space to feel too warm or heavy because I live in a tropical city. My condo overlooks a lot of greenery and water, and I'd like the interior to work well with that environment.
I've narrowed it down to the two couches/colors shown in the attached photos: blue and orange. I'm not really considering other colors at this point, but I'm having a hard time deciding between these two.
I'm also including two photos of the actual space. One was taken with natural daylight, and the other was taken with my interior lighting, which is a warmer light that brings out more of the yellow tones in the flooring. The floor looks surprisingly different depending on the time of day, which is part of what's making this decision difficult.
The apartment has brown-gray leaning flooring and white walls (it's a rental, so painting isn't an option). I do plan on adding a rug later—I'm a big fan of paisley patterns—but I feel like I need to choose the couch first since it'll be the foundation for everything else.
Which one would you choose? I'd really appreciate any opinions, especially from people who have decorated spaces with similar flooring and views.
Thank you!

Buy two and rotate them
I would opt for the blue one because it works with your exterior surroundings and will give you more options to build your decor around. I don’t dislike the orange one but I think you may grow tired of it. You could always add a pop of color with an orange accent chair.
Both work. Flip a coin if you can’t decide
Blue
I like the orange! I feel like there’s more fun options to what you can pair it with as oppose to the light blue. I also feel like it will still stand out with the darker lighting and not look grey in it like the blue might. When it comes to greenery too, orange is a better contrasting match than blue is a lot of the time.
Red one at night, blue one in the morning . Just swap em out every day
