Hi!
So we recently moved into a new place, and I decided to redo my room! The room is 3.2m (the wall the headboard is against) x 3.12 (window wall). I need some help with inspo/ general ideas etc! Im going for a MCM/ warm retro Japandi kind of vibe.
There are a few things that I need. For starters, I need a bedside table and want to get a small stand/chest of drawers/storage/unit (for my record player to go on top of), as well as a lamp maybe. I have the Sony PS-LX310BT, so I need something that would comfortably fit that. On the walls I also want to put up some frames and floating shelves for books and small trinkets etc.
My question to you guys is how can I maximise my storage space and have all the things i want without my room feeling crowded? I've included some inspo pics at the end + the bedside table im most likely going to get (4). Please feel free to share thoughts and give me any ideas!
Thanks!
PS. I dont want to spend hundreds on each item I am a student so pls keep things relatively budget friendly.

For a small room, I’d keep everything low, warm-toned, and multi-purpose. A narrow MCM-style nightstand is a good call, but for the record player I’d look for one wider storage unit instead of adding several small pieces. Something like a low console with closed storage + one open shelf for records would keep the room calmer.
I’d also use the wall above the record player for 2–3 floating shelves or framed art, but keep them in one clean vertical/rectangular zone so it doesn’t feel cluttered. Warm wood, a soft lamp, one plant, and maybe a textured rug would get you very close to the retro Japandi vibe without needing tons of furniture.
maybe a study desk first idk
As a man, I see nothing wrong with this room. You got comfortable bed, you got a guitar, maybe you got weights for lifting in the other room – in case you don’t than you need to buy. Also you need a gaming laptop for the rainy and icy days.
Then your male experience in this realm will be finally complete.
