What’s your gardening zone? How many hours of sun does this area get? Are you willing to water regularly or are you hoping for more of a “set it and forget it” landscape? Do you not care about plants at all and would actually prefer advice on hardscaping?

I would do one large tipped pot. A cheap way to do it is a costco plastic pot tipped over and dug into ground a bit then it can either spill out plants or colored rocks into a river. You can look up your address and the zone you’re in to find an easy to care for spiller.
