Hello!
I am close to moving into my first house on my own, previous house and apartment were with ex’s and I’m now buying solo going from furnished to basically a blank canvas.
I struggle to picture things before it’s fully built (new build) and outside of going to IKEA and buying everything id really love some ideas on resources I can use to get inspiration. It feels shameful to admit that i don’t fully know what i want yet and im rather hoping I accidentally see some things i like before i need to make the choices.
The only thing ive picked so far is that the kitchen worktops will be quartz, but all the flooring/carpet/kitchen cupboards etc. are still up in the air and especially all the furniture and bits I’ll need to buy to make it look like an actual home. I don’t have much in the way of people I can ask locally and appreciate it would be very silly to ask someone online to design every room for me so any help pointing me in the right direction would be very appreciated. I’m 32, male and will have my dog with me so I’m leaning towards LVT flooring but the rest is pretty flexible and open to advice

The link above is the same house type and design although not the same area, but will be pretty identical

congrats on getting your own place! that’s huge. i totally get the blank canvas feeling – it’s exciting but also kinda overwhelming when you’re staring at empty rooms.
pinterest is pretty solid for this kind of stuff. you can search by room type or even specific things like “small living room ideas” or “dog-friendly home design” and save whatever catches your eye. instagram has tons of home accounts too where people post their actual spaces rather than just staged photos.
since you mentioned the dog, lvt is definitely smart choice. easy to clean and holds up well with pets. for inspiration you might want to look at show homes from other developments – they usually have good ideas for layouts and how to make spaces feel bigger than they are.
