We’ve travelled to New York City to take on @bingingwithbabish in the ultimate sandwich challenge. With just 4 hours on the clock, we race across Manhattan and Brooklyn to source ingredients, develop a recipe, and cook a sandwich good enough to beat Babish on his own turf.

Babish creates a New York steakhouse-inspired sandwich with dry-aged beef, creamed spinach, Gruyère, Parmesan and Calabrian chilli mayo, while Jack and Will put a British twist on the classic French dip with a chicken tikka masala sandwich, curry dip, chutney, crispy onions and curry leaves.

Three American judges taste both sandwiches blind and decide who made the best sandwich in New York. Will local knowledge beat Michelin-level chef technique, or can Jack and Will bring British flavour to NYC and take the win?

  1. 16:40 'Allioli' is catalan, the language spoken in the northeast of Spain alongside spanish. 'All' meaning garlic and 'oli' meaning oil.

  2. Chicken tikka massala was made by bangladeshi chefs, the glasgow chef was Pakistani just stealing credit, if you do actual research, the glasgow credit was just written by one writer, but bengali chefts were cooking it way earlier, and as with most indian curry houses in the UK, they are mostly all ran by Bengali people, I just wish people just corrected themselves rather than do a lazy google search that always gives the wrong credits

  3. That coriander looks an awful lot like cilantro. 🙂 The Fallow lads are much bigger than I thought from their videos.

  4. I love the Fallow boys. And I love Babish. But I don't understand how you can ever choose chicken over dry aged steak. The best chicken dish in the world is never as good as mediocre steak.

  5. this was so impressive. so damn impressive fallow chefs are smart and funny. babish had a goal and nailed it also funny witty childish humor. food looks epic.

  6. The intensity of the chefs cookin vs Babish’s relaxed cookin was a fun contrast😂

  7. The ending shot looks like bts on how they made Gandalf look so big next to the hobbits

  8. We gotta see Babish in London. The competition is the country standard Tikka Masala. But he might win because of YouTube and his viewers perhaps knowing local people in London.

  9. Love how Americans believe their plastic wrapped produce is the best in the world despite the fact their eggs and chicken are washed in chlorine, their beef routinely fed with hormones and antibiotics.
