Moved in about a year ago to this very white space, and wanted to make it cozy and homely.

Started by tearing down the wall towards the kitchen to let more light in, and had the floors in the kitchen and living room replaced. Then there was a lot of painting as well as replacing the tiles on the kitchen. And of course quite a bit of furniture hunting.

I'm really pleased with the result! There are still things I'd like to improve/replace: For instance the kitchen ceiling lamp, the dining chairs, and maybe I should get some blinds. The candidates I have found are all expensive, so I'll just take my time.

The before-photos (as well as the furnitures on the before-photos) are from the realtor's listing.

This looks so much warmer and more “lived in” now, you nailed the cozy vibe. The wood tones and lighting already do a ton of work, so honestly you can totally take your time on the chairs and ceiling lamp. For blinds, something simple like linen or light-filtering rollers would fit your style without fighting everything else you’ve got going on.

Looks amazing! Do you have any recommendations of cool things to see in/around Oslo?

Looks amazing! Love that wall lamp that makes a starburst. Do you remember where it’s from?
