I got my hands on an interesting wine today. Interesting technique, interesting label, interesting aromas and flavours.

It's a blend of 5 different vintages (2016, 17, 18, 19 & 20), made from Pinot Bianco, Sav Blanc and Garganega. Beautiful golden colour. Super distinctive nose of chamomile, almonds, orange zest, apricots, caramel and white chocolate. The mouth is broad, full bodied and lush, with lovely salinity (salted caramel) and I think, a hint of tannin. In a way it reminds me of a tokay, but completely dry. Delicious.

It's quite an unusual wine, and yet available at Majestic (a rather conservative UK retailer), at 38 GBP.

Pasqua does some really cool stuff and Hey French is top notch. Terza Edizione is a past release, Edizione Quattro is the newer one and is drinking better than the Terza if you can get your hands on it.
