𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬, 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐯𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐨𝐭 🌅🍽️
There are restaurants, and then there is La Terrasse. Perched above the rooftops of Marigot on the French side of the island, this is the kind of place where the setting alone stops you in your tracks — golden hour light, sweeping views over the bay, and the feeling that you’ve stumbled onto something genuinely special.
Then the food arrives, and it gets even better.
We started with:
– 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞-𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐩 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐚 — light, crispy, and beautifully fresh
– 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐦𝐚’𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐠𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞 — grilled bacon, sautéed mushrooms, sautéed potatoes and cream. Comfort food elevated to something extraordinary.
For mains:
– 𝐓𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐓𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢 — seared to perfection, served with steamed rice, grilled vegetables, wakame salad and a ginger dressing that ties every element together beautifully
– 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐢𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐬, truffle jus, gratin dauphinois and vegetables — this dish alone is worth the trip
For dessert:
– 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐟’𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐞 — sharp, sweet, and absolutely perfect
– 𝐏𝐮𝐟𝐟 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦, whipped cream and hot chocolate sauce — indulgent doesn’t even cover it
French technique, Caribbean soul, and a rooftop view that makes every bite taste better. Come for sunset, stay for everything else.
