Ingredients are so expensive now, and no one wants their family turning up their noses at the latest cooking experiment. lol I made this cake today – smells heavenly. It's cooling down, I am eager to put the frosting on, I am also going to smear a bit of aprictot jam inbetween the two layers. Thank you *SO MUCH* for sharing your tips, esp the one about listening to the cakes – if they are still "crackling", bake for a couple more minutes. Wow, it worked .. now to find some pretty spinkles in the cupboard .. I know they are in there. 😄 Bless

  7. Yep I am a vanilla person, not chocolate. But I love anything with hazelnut, walnuts and pistachio ( when I mean pistachio , I don't mean pistachio junk sold as pistachioes or pistachio cream… in many shops).
