  1. My dad, who had very little formal education but a great appreciation for the finer things in life, loved to watch Julia Child. He used to say, " She sure isn't afraid to make a mess getting there, but I'd eat any food she made!" He was a connoisseur at heart, and he recognized quality when he saw it😊.

  2. I was a very young child and I remember this on in the background. Jack laLane was another my mom put on.

  3. She was humble enough to make a mistake on camera and showed learning cooks that mistakes can happen and it's ok to pivot.

  4. Dang, I didn’t know that she helped develop a shark repellent to protect naval explosives! 😮
She’s so bad ass, this Julia Childs!! 😊 such a bad ass!

  5. "We're not worried about calories, we all no potatoes dont have many" thats julia child deadpan, no looking, sarcasm.

  6. As a kid I would watch her on PBS Channel 25 Cleveland Ohio. I learned to cook mushrooms watching her. I was so proud of myself. I was 10.

  7. It isn't about what has happened, it's how we move forward. Not a bad philosophy. Life is full of loose masses 😂

  8. If in doubt add a load of cheese and cream and shove it in the oven. Sounds good to me!
