Bethel’s Kitchen, Dromore.
We had the absolute pleasure to catch up again with Willetta Gabriel, proprietor of Bethel’s Kitchen in Dromore. Her authentic hand rolled bagels are legendary, and we couldn’t wait to get tucked into “The Lox” with smoked salmon, “The Turkey Club”, & the incredible “Canadian”, a French toast bagel with bacon, cream cheese, & maple syrup. Don’t miss out on the new Hot Cross Bun Bagel, crammed with cinnamon, spices, & sultanas, with luxurious orange burst cream cheese.
Fat Willy’s Pub & Grub, Ballymoney.
On Main Street in Ballymoney, Fat Willy’s serves up great drink, tasty grub, live sports & music. We were greeted & seated by the man himself, & before long, we were enjoying dishes such as “The Steel Yard Burger”, “The Peppered Chicken Stack”, & “The Spice Bag Loaded Fries” with salt & chilli chicken. There’s even a spiced bean “Mexican Burger” for a meat-free munch, & many of the dishes can be prepared gluten free.
Fire & 5th.
Recently, we met the delightful Mary, founder of “Fire & 5th” aperitivo-style alcohol free drinks. Created using natural fruit & botanical extracts, with no alcohol and no artificial additives, each variety is flavour-forward & unapologetically adult. There are three varieties; fiery “Chilli & Blood Orange”, herbal “Mint, Cardamom & Blackberry”, & bittersweet “Rhubarb & Grapefruit”.
