⏱ Prep time: 10 minutes⏱ Cook time: 15 minutes🍽 Serves: 4

Pain perdu is a timeless French classic, traditionally made to give new life to day-old bread. Using rich brioche creates a more luxurious texture and flavor while keeping the recipe simple and approachable for home cooks.

Serve it with fresh berries, crème fraîche, mascarpone, warm honey, or poached fruit for the ultimate brunch experience.

For a refined adult version, add a splash of Grand Marnier or dark rum to the custard.

  1. Imagine walking into a bakery and able to buy brioche ,fresh…must be wonderful,we have to go into special artisan bakery to do that here in Australia.(In my case,in the city)Also ,we sometimes have bacon with our French toast.Though our French toast is just with eggs and milk and splashes of cinnamon, with white bread, nothing fancy.I will be making your authentic French toast!😀👏
