I am trying to choose between the 40” and 48” headboard. What’s typically the best choice? My mattress is 9” it’s not the best mattress in the world and should likely be upgraded down the line. I think tall headboards can be overly feminine and give teen princess room vibes. Curious everyone’s thoughts and opinions. Photo 1 40”, photo 2 48”

Depends on what look you’re going for. Shorter reads more modern, while taller leans more traditional/transitional. With the current side tables, shorter looks better.

Taller one looks more fitting especially if you sleep on an angle

    IMO, 48” all day

It’s too much to type out, but I just googled: “pros and cons of tall vs short headboards” and there were a lot of great points and things to consider! I would try it and see if it helps :).

  4. Practically speaking taller ones are good if you read in bed. We love ours. Mine is not feminine in the least.

If you get the taller ones you would need different nightstands – they’d have to be more substantial to visually balance it out. And more pillows.
