Noodle Journey is an episodic review series in which we learn all about instant noodle brands and products and then do a deep dive into the noodle quality, spice level, and overall flavor. All reviews are as thorough as possible. The noodles are cooked according to the manufacturer’s instructions using only the contents of the product package unless otherwise indicated. This ensures that the review is as unbiased as possible and evaluates whether or not I think a product is worth a purchase either as a standalone meal or as a base that you could spruce up. The first Noodle Journey instant noodle mega-review of 2026 is this new product line from Nongshim, which promises a fusion of global favorite recipes with Korean ramyun. I dish out all the details of these four launch flavors: Korean Beef Bulgogi Stir Fry, Taiwanese Braised Beef Soup, Japanese Curry Chicken Soup, and French-American Creamy Garlic Chicken Stir Fry.

Very informative and enjoyable reviews, as always, Noodle Man. Selfishly, I’m gutted that there aren’t any vegan options in this selection but I also get it and I’m happy that they were mostly all a hit for you. Adding more garlic is ALWAYS a good shout.
I have a mildly tangential question though… If you don’t usually use a sauce pan when cooking noodles, what do you use?! I’ve only ever used a saucepan so I was baffled to hear you say that you’ve only used that method a couple of times. I must know! Hope you’re well and that you’ve had a fab January!

These do look interesting, but for me depends on the carb and fiber count.
Also, got sidetracked when you said the Vegan Curry bowls have been discontinued. I LOVE those and have been searching for those for months now. I emailed (or tried to email) Nongshim, but never got any response. Guess I'll keep doing my "hack" to get a curry flavor, and use the Shin Gold bowl, with only half the powder and add my favorite curry powder to get a flavor that's at least close.
