I never tried Truffles and I never new the were they find these things. I just might like to try one to see what I think to see if my palate would like them 😅
That was great, thanks for taking us along! ❤❤from Canada 🇨🇦
Hi: loved seeing the truffle hunting. I know you are from Canada so I wanted to let you know about a novel I wrote: Mystery at Breezy Bay. It is set in Vancouver Island. Letting you and your followers know if interested in truffle hunting in Canada and a cozy mystery to solve. 😊
I like the truffle flavor but not the gritty texture I have experienced in some foods with truffles. I just stick with truffle infused oils when cooking.
This was a lot of fun 😁! I loved learning a bit more about truffles. Sarah, that soup looked delicious 😋 😍 👌.
For that crop- I'd have a fence … and it would be electric.
Such a lovely episode — the visit to the truffle farm and market was fascinating. Thank you again for the warm welcome and the delicious lunch you prepared for my visit. I’m so pleased the fabrics have found a new home, and looking forward to seeing what you make 😊
Really interesting video thank you❤
Thank you so much
This was really interesting. 😊
Thankyou for sharing ❤
What an interesting vlog! Truly loved the creative idea of “truffle” pastry.
Very interesting. I've read a fiction book about hunting for truffles and thought it would be fun and interesting. N,oops like it was. Loved Sarlat and the truffle fairy. Great job you two!
This was such an interesting vlog! I am fascinated by the ability of animals to find truffles. What about having a truffle retreat one year? Do you think it is warm enough in your region (and in your château) to have enough people. I am not a great fan of truffles so far but the sweetened cream puff might tempt me 🥴🙂
mot either
Very interesting learning all about the truffle. I’ve never had the opportunity to taste it. Hopefully I’ll get the opportunity
It looks like I joined the chat at the end. I’m going back to the beginning to enjoy!
Great video! Thank you for taking us along! So interesting.
Absolutely delightful episode. Who knew truffle cream puffs could be a thing? And why dogs are better (well, lighter) to use in hunting truffles than pigs (300 lbs!!). Great fun.
So what trees develope truffles?
Looks like that dog knew you weren’t that into truffles Steve…😂, hence the small nugget it sniffed out for you. I love mashed potatoes with some truffle oil through it, delicious.
Have they ever tried to grow in a greenhouse with proper conditions?
Would you have a truffle excursion from your chateau ?
OMG this looked amazing!!!! Lots of love from Newfoundland, canada! Love watching your adventures…. especially the food!
Fun!!! thx💕
Sarah I am so impressed with your development as a YouTuber! You are so much more confident than when I first saw you on chateau de la lande. I learned some viewers were harsh on you but shame on them not you ❤! I’m a Canadian from the other end of the grand river in Brantford, Ontario. Kudos to you both and thank you for sharing your story! ❤
I grew up in a town in south west Western Australia, which NOW is a major truffle growing location. When I was growing up there, no one grew them there. (they also do quite nice wines now, which they also did not do when I was young..)
🇨🇦❄🥶🙏🏻
🍄
Put a fence up get a guard dog.
This was very interesting! I was surprised to hear that Sarah loves truffles but not mushrooms, while Steve is the other way around. (You may have said this before and I simply didn’t remember. 😉👵🏻)
I’ve never tried truffles, because they’re expensive and I seriously don’t like mushrooms – not the flavor, but especially (like Sarah) not the texture. I didn’t want to buy something I couldn’t eat.
Now, next time I have the opportunity, I’ll try something that contains truffles. 👍
What a wonderful blog! Thank you so much for sharing this with us❣️
“…and my role is to carry things and be cute”…I just laughed out loud at that. I’ve just discovered your Chanel today and am working my way through them and you guys are cute. I watch way too many Chanel’s on foreigners moving to France and I have to say your perspective and delivery is so refreshing.
Love this vlog! I learned so much about truffles! Thanks! ❤❤
Great intro. Wonderful pupper digging up that petite truffle! Is it possible to add a pop up map on your vlogs so we can visually get an understanding of what towns you visit and ie) the truffle town you were at. I don’t always get the name of the town or area you’re in. Just a thought. 🐾
That dog better get a LOT of treats!
I don't think I could convert to loving truffles, but some of those dishes at the market looked yummy. 😊
❤❤ Love truffles, not keen on mushrooms. Exactly. ❤❤
I go with Steve, I really don't care for truffle but I love mushrooms !
😍 You should train Dexter to sniff out truffles! 🐾 🐾You probably have some those “black diamonds” in your own wooded area!!😋
LOL Y'all are silly, love the video! <3
What do you liken the taste of truffles to?
Two kids in a candy shop! Thank you for educating us about truffles and introducing us to a fun day of sampling and changing tastes. 🍄
A wonderful video of local Truffle hunting and tasting & celebration 🎉
I suggest you get a better audio..to eliminate the background noise 👍🥰🤗
Mushrooms scrunch in my teeth hate them..Had eggs with truffles inn Verdon very tasty but have no desire to seek them out again
I said scrinch not scrunch
Great video!
We visited Sarlat several years ago and had the duck confit from this vendor~Maison Albié Foie Gras. We bought 20 tins and brought them back with us to South Carolina. Then about 4 years later we were in Bayeaux and had 30 more tins delivered to our hotel. This past year we drove through Sarlat purchased 18 jars of the duck cracklings with foie gras. I would love if they would ship to US!
Our duck in US is NOTHING like the duck you have in France.
