Today I’m making creamy chicken Alfredo soup, inspired by a recipe from Chef Jean-Pierre, one of my favorite YouTube chefs.

This is my take on his incredible recipe — rich, comforting, and perfect for a budget-friendly home meal.

Before we start cooking, we have a little fun with a Star Trek–style parody intro 🖖 because sometimes first contact… involves dinner.

Ingredients

3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 bell pepper diced
2 green onion chopped
1 leek, white and light green parts only, thinly sliced
1 shallot, finely minced
3–4 cloves garlic, minced
1½ lbs chicken (boneless thighs or breasts), cut into bite-size pieces
6 cups chicken broth (low sodium preferred)
2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
4oz sliced mushrooms
1 tsp salt, or to taste
½ tsp black pepper
1–2 tbsp flour (optional, for extra thickness)
8oz Cavatelli pasta or whatever small pasta you have

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
