Michelin restaurant in the air! Air France 777-300ER Business Class gourmet experience

The experience begins in the Air France Lounge at CDG, a chic, light-filled space where I can relax before the long flight.

Stepping onboard the Boeing 777-300ER, I find my seat—a comfortable reverse herringbone shell. It’s got a classic French navy blue design, giving me direct aisle access and a good sense of privacy. I settle in, accepting a glass of crisp Pommery Brut Royal champagne from the friendly crew.

Soon after takeoff, the dining experience starts. The multi-course meal, often designed by a Michelin-starred chef, is definitely a highlight. I enjoy the exquisite French cuisine, complete with a selection of fine wines and an indulgent cheese course.

After dinner, I transform my seat into a fully flat, nearly two-meter-long bed. I pull up the cozy blanket, grab the fluffy pillow, and manage to get a solid few hours of sleep, which is a game-changer for a long haul to San Francisco.

I wake up feeling refreshed and enjoy a decent breakfast before we begin our descent. The flight to SFO feels more like a relaxing private journey than an exhausting cross-continental hop. It’s an elevated, comfortable, and distinctly French experience in the sky.
