I have to say that after a giant investment in espresso machines and pourover devices, I find myself using my Weber BIRD for immersion brews. Just so consistent. Even the Switch and Clever Brewer are almost always used as immersion devices exclusively.
Beings im more of an espresso guy, my pourover skills are sub-par. With the Hario Switch, I can get a pretty good cup when im in the mood for brewed coffee. Its probable that getting the peak of what a coffee has to offer is probably better suited to a regular pourover if you know what you're doing. But if the Switch gets me 90-95% there with none of the hassle, caveman easy, you have to try to screw it up, Im A-ok with that! The Switch is THE pourover Easy button! The Clever and other steep & release brewers also apply and you can use most of then like a regular pourover, 2-styles in one, hard to beat.
Currently I’m digging the hybrid 50/50 immersion/percolation brews in my switch. If I could have only one dripper, it would be the switch. All the versatility of a V 60, with the option to do full immersion and hybrid brews also. The GOAT!

Pour over is the best!
Pour over all day. I can appreciate both brewing styles though and will switch it up to get different flavors and taste.
