We challenged chefs of three different levels – an amateur, a home cook and a professional chef – to make their versions of cinnamon rolls. And then we brought in a food scientist to review their work. Which rolls were the best?

None of these are true cinnamon buns/rolls. But the level 2 is the closest.
This is one of those things where once you realise how easy and delicious it is to make, you'll be disappointed you used the canned kind for so long!
She must have been watching Akira haha iykyk😂
Who rolls out on parchment paper??
"I like the video at 5:54, what about you?"
Level 3 chef using corn syrup , really ???
NUTELA!!! WHAT!!!! 🤢
All those credentials, and can’t pronounce mascarpone, 🤷♀️
level 2 grandmas is the best
This is the worst, most disorienting edit of one of these videos I've ever seen. You really need a new editor.
Hey Epicurious, it's mascarpone, not maRscapone. Your food scientist and subtitler should know that.,
level 1 should not even exist. if you cant make the dough yourself get out of here
The way the pro chef called Mascarpone 'MaRscarpone' really threw me off 😅
Literally none of these people are making cinnamon rolls how frustrating!
I'm culinarily simple. I almost never like the level three example. 😅
Mars capone? Mars! capone? She might used Mascarpone with unfamiliar name, but …
premade pizza dough i respect it aha
Level 1 gurl sounds like a perfect character ok bobs burger
They didn’t shape them the same way though
I'm probably going to make a level 2 dough with level 3 everything else lol
Croissant dough is awful for a cinnamon roll!
"The only way I know how is with pre-made pizza dough"
Or, you could use Pillsbury Dough Sheets? They exist.
Level 5: replace cinnamon with cardamom…
Makes me proud of myself to see me doing a little more than what level 2 with my cinnamon rolls and a little of what level 3 did. Sort of a combo.
Level 1 acting like she just decided to cook this before the cameras started rolling
Is Mars Carpone the younger brother of Al Capone?
MASCARPONE!!!! not marscapoun
i think i am in love with gabrielle
I want to try the pros recipe.
Why does everyone pronounce it mar-skuh-pone
It’s M A S C A R P O N E.
I prefer the homecooked ones… the "Expert" ones.. look like a muffin and tend to be less fluffy as they have no room to expand in the muffin tin.
Nutella is death in a jar! Iykyk!
Info overload.
Professional chef is wrong. Mascarpone is not a Italian cream cheese. It’s a different thing.
IMO expert level is using Tangzhong (aka Yudane). Makes soooo much softer
Is it me or level 2 looks more like an actual cinnamon roll?
Beautiful visuals.
Worst format ever. Who thought schizophrenic jump cuts were suitable for technical subjects?
IMO Level 1 won! Level 2 and 3 are impressive, sure, but come on, putting nutella on it and calling it a cinnamon roll? Nah. And if you must, at least make it THIC layer of nutella 🙂
LMAO Emily cracked me up so much
"This reminds me of a monster I saw in an anime recently."
the f*** is a maRSCapone?
It would have been nice to have a blind tasting afterwards, versus each chef tasting their own.
MARS…. MARScapone? Oh dear…
