  1. For Bombay aaloo,
    1) ghee isnt supposed to taste rancid. It should taste and smell like butter. It shouldn't be fermented.
    2. I'd add a pinch of coriander powder and chaat masala
    3. Garnish with a bit of lemon juice and zest.

  2. Just catching up on all these "3 things" videos. I don't mean to be negative, I love your channel. I just think it's hilarious that in this set of episodes

  3. Ghee is NOT suppose to taste rancid. If it does you're ghee is rancid and needs to be tossed.
And clarified butter and ghee are Not the same. Clarified butter is simply butter where the milk solids have been removed. Ghee, the milk solids have been removed and is a very very very slight brownish color (not quite Brown butter, but a hint of brown), and has a nutty flavor.

  4. liked it better when SF was more like this…w foods and ingredients that most of use daily…rather than "battles"

  5. With COVID-19 being a thing I am limited to what I have on hand and I get bored of the same food daily. I also love cooking so I'm back to the older SORTED videos 🙂
This series is saving my butt right now. <3

  6. amazing…….so delicious yummy recipes.. nice n easy good ideas..
    thank you for sharing 👌👍

  7. I know this is an old video, but not all ghee is fermented. Only ajurvedic ghee is. Regular ghee is simply highly clarified butter.

  8. I can't believe Ben said Ghee is 'fermented butter' lol! It's clarified butter (all the milk solids are burnt off), and it's not supposed to taste rancid if it was correctly made. But it does have a shelf life; I store mine in the fridge.

  9. "If you take it much further, it will become black butter." LOL! Ebbers was already funny from early on!

  10. No fork pressed into the gnocchi? So that's just a style thing; doesn't really play into cooking time or anything?
